Sills and thresholds

Sills are used as a cover for the window ledge both internally and externally.

Externally, the sill, placed at a slight slope, ensures that rainwater drains outward.
If the drip edge is executed at the bottom, it prevents water from re-entering and reaching the underlying wall.

Stone sills are not only functional but also design elements that enhance the elegance of the house or building.

The top part can be milled, flame-treated, gritted, flame-treated + brushed, bush-hammered, polished, or glossy.

The lateral parts, called ribs, are milled.

The visible ribs can be milled, flame-treated, gritted, flame-treated + brushed, bush-hammered, polished, or glossy. Alternatively, they can be rounded to a bullnose or half bullnose profile to enhance their elegance.
