Covers
The covers are used as protection for a parapet or wall, both indoors and outdoors.
In addition to being design elements that enhance the elegance of the house or building, covers also serve a protective function.
Covers installed outdoors effectively shield the walls from weather elements such as rain.
By addressing the issue of water infiltration from the top of the wall, the longevity of the wall is increased.
Protection of the wall facades is achieved if the cover extends from the sides of the wall, and if a drip edge is executed at the bottom (this prevents water from re-entering and reaching the underlying wall).
The top can be milled, flamed, exposed aggregate, flamed + brushed, bush-hammered, polished, or honed.
The sides, known as ribs, are milled.
The visible ribs can be milled, flamed, exposed aggregate, flamed + brushed, bush-hammered, polished, or honed, or they can be rounded with a bullnose or a half bullnose to enhance their elegance.
